Link Homecare helped me give the care my mom needed by having me work for her and it was the best thing that could ever happen. My mom is doing so much better and living a healthier lifestyle. I didn’t know anything when I first started with Link, but Link Homecare felt like family. They were patient and talked me through some difficulties I was having. Thank you Link, for my family. I don’t know what we would’ve done without you.

What is the CDPAP program?
CDPAP, or the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program, is a special healthcare plan in New York. If you’re on Medicaid and need help at home, CDPAP lets you choose who helps you. You get to train and supervise them too. It’s all about giving you control over your care.
How is CDPAP different from HHA?
CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) is a New York Medicaid program that allows individuals to get care from a friend or family member. HHA (Home Health Aide) refers to a professional caregiver provided by a certified agency.
I don’t have Medicaid right now, can I still get care?
Don’t worry! At Link, we help you register with Medicaid so you can access the care you need. We offer support with Medicaid application and approval processes. As long as you live in New York State and meet the eligibility criteria, we can help you access care.
Can I hire anyone as a caregiver through CDPAP?
CDPAP allows you to hire certain family members as your caregivers. However, it’s important to note that there are some restrictions on who you can hire. You can hire a child, a relative or a friend but you cannot hire a legal spouse and a parent can’t care for a child under 21. (designated representative??)
